At the end of Unit 12 we got the rider up using the "Capture the Saddle" process. That lesson evolved out of a ground exercise called "Why Would You Leave Me?" the horse learns to stay connected to his handler as they walk around a circle of cones. In this Unit we're going to continue to use the why-would-you-leave-me circle for the first ride. This time we'll also be including a mat.
In Unit 12 you watched how Monty cues "Capture the Saddle".  The rider is up. Now it's time to go for a ride!
In Unit 4 I introduced you to the Six Foundation lessons.  And in Unit 9 I showed you how to develop each of them to "Grand Prix" level.  In this Unit you're going to continue your exploration of the foundation lessons - this time under saddle.
